Billy Treacy is an Irish Folk Singer/Songwriter who grew up in the inner city & can trace both sides of his family back for generations to Capel St, Jervis St & Abbey St. in the heart of Dublin. Before the pandemic he could be found playing in various different establishments with a host of different musicians in and around the Temple Bar area of Dublin. If you have visited Dublin, chances are you could’ve came across him as a guide on the Musical Pub Crawl tour or busking on sunny days in the Dame District with his cohorts The Scope, consisting of Anna Mary Donaghy (Fiddle), Anthony Warde (Banjo), Eoin Dillon (Uilleann Pipes & Whistle) & many more guests along the way.

The gigs in the basement of The Stags Head on their Friday & Saturday residency has become the stuff of legend whether you were there live or tuned in from across the world on the Periscope app to witness Irish culture.

Dave McNevin - BANJO / MANDOLIN

Dublin-born Dave McNevin is one of Ireland’s top banjo and mandolin players, a former child prodigy and world champion he has performed all over the world and in every U.S. State (excluding Hawaii & Alaska.) Dave has played with all the legends of Irish Folk and Traditional music past and present and was a member of Stockton’s Wing for over 10 years.

Billy has performed in The U.S.A, The U.K. , Scandinavia, The Netherlands & France. He has played support to bands such as The Fun Lovin Criminals, Shane MacGowan, Damien Dempsey, Glen Hansard, Stockton’s Wing & Sharon Shannon and performed with Liam O’Maonlai (Hothouse Flowers) and several Pogues members. Billy can list iconic venues like The Olympia Theatre, Whelans and Croke Park as places he has played. His debut Album “Head Above Water” featured a who’s who of top Irish Musicians and included the viral video hits “Temple Bar” and “Woe!” Billy has several national & International T.V. and radio appearances to his name and has had his music featured in Movies and Short Films.

Eoin Dillon- Uilleann Pipes & Whistle

Eoin has been playing the pipes & whistles since the age of 15. As a founding member of KÍLA he released 11 albums and toured the world with performances at top festivals including Glastonbury, Womad (Aus/NZ) and Montreux Jazz Festival.

As a solo artist, Eoin Dillon has guested with U2, Baaba Maal, Sinead O Connor, Donal Lunny & Jane Sibery. He composed the music with Kíla for 2 OSCAR winning animation films in 2012/2015 — while his solo compositional work on ‘Ireland’s Wild River’ was nominated in the Best Music category at the 2015 EMMY Awards. Eoin has facilitated music workshops at primary & secondary level schools and theatres at home & abroad as well as presenting the TG4 show Geantraí & performing in and composing music for theatre.

Peter Browne : Button Accordion

Peter Browne, from Dublin, has been playing traditional music on the accordion from an early age, and has played all over Europe, the USA and Asia.

He has performed and recorded with many bands and musicians over the years, such as Stockton’s Wing, Slide, Providence and At First Light , Emer Mayock, Kila.

He has also been involved with a number of acts outside of the traditional realm such as the RTE Concert Orchestra, jazz and other ethnic and improvised forms of music.
