Galway Folk Festival - 7th June 2026
Live on The Tavern Stage - 6.45pm

Get ready for a night of raw Irish Folk, Trad, and original tunes as Billy Treacy & The Scope roll into Galway for a special live performance at the Galway Folk Festival (June 3rd - 7th).
Based in Dublin City, this talented crew blends original songwriting with old-time classics and lively traditional Irish reels and jigs. Whether it’s a rousing folk anthem or a toe-tapping trad session, these musicians bring the real sound of Ireland to every stage they play.
About the Band: Billy Treacy & The Scope are full-time musicians, regularly found lighting up Dublin’s iconic Temple Bar area, performing for locals and tourists alike. They also host their own trad sessions in beloved venues like: O’Donoghues, McNeill’s of Howth, and The Cobblestone.
Currently working on new material for their next album, they’ve hit the road on weekends to tour the country — bringing their high-energy, authentic Irish sound to Ireland’s most iconic pubs.
Having played alongside some of the biggest names in Irish music at festivals across Europe, this is a band that brings experience, soul, and serious craic to every set.
